LotroWorld.com Podcast: Episode Nine – Zap, Burn and Heal
Sep 19th
This weeks episode is all about the Runekeeper class. We are joined by Saks (aka The Uruk Hunter) who was kind enough to give us a great run down on this class. He’s convinced me to roll a Runekeeper with his fantastic description.
You can follow Saks on twitter here or visit his cool site here. He has lots of videos to view that I for one really like.
Below are some sites you can get some more information about the Runekeeper class.

Captains lets finish this 61-65 for now
Sep 17th
Captains are armoured melee fighters and masters of buffing; skills that enhance allies. They may summon a Herald companion to fight by their side, ensuring they always have an ally to buff. They can also Mark foes, giving benefits to all who attack them. In fellowships, a Captain supports his allies with healing and buffs, while still dealing respectable damage. The Captains of Middle-earth hold the future in their hands. By their own strength of arms and the inspiration they instill in others, they must lead the Free Peoples to victory. With this in mind let us move on into Mirkwood or soon into Enedwaith. You may want to wait to level 62 to head into Enedwaith but that is entirely up to you.
LOTRO Reporter Episode 54a – Rowan PAX Interview
Sep 17th
This special interview is an interview that Bill and I did with Aaron “Rowan” Campbell on the show floor at PAX.
We did have some audio issues, and the quality is horrible, but there is some good information, so I thought that I would put it out there.

Playing Second Fiddle
Sep 17th
First up, a little public service announcement – my blog that I refer to quite often in my posts has moved over to DocHolidayMMO.com, same content and everything just a new hopefully more flexible site. And now back to your regularly scheduled Warden post.
I’ve primarily focused on how to not only solo effectively as a Warden but tank and hold agro as well. However, a recent post on the Guardian forums got me thinking that I should put down some thoughts on off-tanking as a Warden. I will admit that I’m not the greatest off-tank on my Warden as I do tend to just end up tanking, mainly due to my arrogance when on my Warden :). However, in some cases it may make sense to off-tank so here are some ideas for you.

Hunters are masters of field and forest, unmatched in their dexterity with the bow. They use their survival skills to guide companions and lay traps for enemies. The coming of the Enemy has forced them to adapt these skills to use against new prey. With this in mind let us move on into Mirkwood or soon into Enedwaith. You may want to wait to level 62 to head into Enedwaith but that is entirely up to you. More >
Podmoot Episode 2
Sep 14th
A few weeks ago, a group of us Podcasters got together and discussed the free to play launch that at that time was imminent. Participating in the Round Table are Merric from A Casual Stroll to Mordor, Xyderias and Fyurae from Mordor or Bust, Alberos from LOTROCast and of course, Bill and I.
Enjoy the episode, it was a blast to record!

I am Creep
Sep 14th
For Grizanni’s earlier adventures, check here.
I have been a busy young warg. My jaws are well and truly crusted red, and the tantalizing scent of Hobbit, Man, Elf, and Dwarf remains in my nostrils.

As I am scouting around Lugazug, desperately hoping to join the fight to retake this keep that the conniving Freeps have wrested from our control, I stumble into the path of a large and hungry pack of wargs I have never met before. I feel humbled in their presence and most honoured to be invited into their pack. The leader whips me into shape immediately. “No moving out of turn, obey all orders, stay where you’re told to stay, attack when and whom you’re told to attack! Got it, pup?” I bow low before him, careful to avoid staring into his startling bright, vicious eyes.
Lore-Master Skill Level Changes
Sep 14th
As you know the new LOTRO patch launched on September 10th (or 8th for those players in the headstart). This new patch has brought some changes to the levels at which skills are acquired. These changes go all the way up to level 30. I’ve compiled a small chart with the skills that will change in levels:
There are some very welcome changes. Specially the Sign of Power: Wizardry and Raven-lore change, so now young lore-masters can start flanking at level 2! That will bring some much-needed survivability at the early levels. Some group skills moved to higher levels and damaging and healing skills moved down to lower levels.
Good news.
