Buying a house? In this Economy? Crazy!
Jul 17th
Chris here.
I made the plunge. I finally did it. Even in these troubled economic times (drink!), I decided that I would buy a house. Yep, I am the proud owner of a little house in Stanshaw right outside of Bree. Bill and I (and our wives) managed to get houses all around each other, and spent a nice night starting to decorate them.
I have to say, I’m pretty happy with the way in which Turbine implemented this feature in the game. We’ve managed to carve out a nice little neighbourhood for myself and my friends, so it’s all good.
A couple of the things that I don’t like so far, however, is the limited amount of things that you can get in the human neighbourhoods. I find it somewhat ridiculous that there are some slots to place items in the house, without items to place in them for sale from the vendor. Now I realize that there are many different ways to get furnishings for your house, and that the vendor isn’t the only source, but the vendor should have at least one of each type of item. Even if they are junk, there should be something. Then you can go out into the world and get better items.
There.
That’s my rant.
Maybe I should do a housing guide for the site. Thoughts?
P.S. Yep, I listen to Buzz Out Loud, hence the (drink!)

Time to let your Artistic Talent shine!
Jul 14th
Hi Everyone. Chris here. Turbine has got a cool new contest out, which could allow some of your creativity into the game. What they are asking for is submission of new horse designs for the game. Now, you don’t get to design a crazy 1 legged horse or anything…. really. I think it’s a great idea. A nice way to start getting some user generated content into the game, even if the Turbine artist are going to end up putting their interpretation of the design into the game.
The three areas that you will be able to customize are:
- the horse’s color and markings
- the horse’s blanket pattern and color
- the horse’s saddle
Take a look at the picture bellow to get an idea.

Good luck. Let the creative juices flow!
Loremaster, Here I Come!
Jul 11th
Hi Everyone. I have started a Loremaster, and WOW am I loving it! I find the mechanics of the class to be somewhat of a mix between a magic user and a hunter from WoW. It’s quite enjoyable. From what I’ve read, it’s a buff/debuff class, so it will be interesting to see how it plays out as I level. I’ll add it to my stable of alts.
Hi, my name is Chris, and I’m an alt-aholic.
