As we announced in LOTRO Reporter Episode 124, Chris and I are starting a skirmish tournament ladder, in which each week we will be running two skirmishes head-to-head to determine the best skirmish in game!

We will be live broadcasting our play of each week’s skirmishes at http://twitch.tv/mmoreporter starting on Monday, February 20th starting at 8:30PM PST. We will be giving a rough explanation of each skirmish as we run through it, and will likely screw up often and spectacularly. Please join us if you’re interested!

Positions in the ladder were determined through random draw, with the assistance of the lovely Isanna and a much less lovely hat. Since LOTRO has 18 skirmishes (entirely inconvenient for tournament purposes, I must say), we will be doing a play-in battle of 4 different skirmishes on February 20th to get us down to the much more ladder friendly total of 16. After that, each week we will broadcast 2 skirmishes one after the other. On Monday we will be playing:

Battle of the Way of Smiths vs. Battle of the 21st Hall

and

Strike Against Dannenglor vs. Protectors of Thangulhad

During each podcast, Chris and I will hash out what we liked and didn’t like about each skirmish and will ultimately vote for the one we choose to win. But it’s not only up to us! We want to hear which of each week’s skirmishes is your favorite! We will be determining the skirmish winner each week based on the following votes:

1) Bill’s vote
2) Chris’ vote
3) Chat room vote – 1 vote on the majority choice of the chat room of our live-podcast broadcast
4) Write in majority – 1 vote for which ever skirmish gets the most votes by email
5) Mystery tie-breaker! To be chosen capriciously by our evil hosts
