Guardian
To Guardians
Nov 12th
Recently I have received emails from Stratus of Crickhollow and Senseye of Evernight requesting some more information for Guardians I have chosen to answer them here. First there is a guide on the lorebook that is very involved you can find it here. Second as to virtues there are two very good resources the virtue finder at Mmorsel.com and the virtues tab at burgzerg.com. I have only used the one at burgzerg myself but try them out and see what you think.
Guardians lets finish this 61-65 for now.

A doughty fighter and protector of the weak, a skilled Guardian can face even the toughest foes and survive. The Guardian is one of the few classes willing and able to try to draw more blows onto themselves, so they can retaliate with devastating maneuvers in response. and with this in mind let us move on into Mirkwood or soon into Enedwaith. You may want to wait to level 62 to head into Enedwaith but that is entirely up to you.

This week we will point you in the right direction to get you going for your level 50 class quest. As you will notice, your questing will most likely be getting more and more spread out. Your area choices will be Angmar and The Misty Mountains. Once you get into the level 45 range, you will be able to converge on Eregion and/or Forochel. Also at level 45 you will want to make your way to the Hollin Gate in the far east of Eregion to start Volume 2 of your epic quests that will grant you the ability to use Legendary Items (but that is another post).

This week we will cover a few ideas on which area to head to for your leveling purposes. If you went the Lone-lands route you should be about ready to head to Oatbarton and Evendim or to Esteldin and the eastern North-downs. If you chose to go through the North-downs then you will have naturally progressed to the eastside of the North-downs. At level 38, you will find that quests are either few and far between or require a group to complete. I would suggest doing Skirmishes as needed for the XP help in this situation. Unfortunately, at this stage you have just hit the proverbial wall as it comes to leveling. You will get there, but it is going to seem like work! Don’t be afraid to use the different chat channels to ask for suggestions.

Welcome back! As you may have noticed, this series is not super in-depth. That is on purpose. My goal is to give a quick overview of the skills and areas for the level ranges. After that is done, I will be going into a much more turn-by-turn type of guide. I will go into class quest guides, deeding, virtues, traits, and all other manner of things. First things first, I just want to get you familiar with the bulk of the game and your class, and then we will delve into the nitty gritty, so to speak. Until then, here is the next installment of Bor’s Guide to Guardians. More >
Guardian leveling guide 1-15

Skill Level: Moderate
The Guardians are protectors of the weak and defenders of those in need. They are capable of withstanding mighty blows and retaliating in kind. True Guardians stand to the forefront of battle, shielding their allies from enemy assaults.
Role: Tank
The Guardian’s ability to wear heavy armour and defensive skills enable the Guardian to face creatures that would make other heroes’ morale fail. Guardians also have the ability to draw foes’ attention away from their allies and to themselves. More >
Welcome to the LOTRO Reporter family!
Jun 27th
It is with great pride that I announce the addition of three people to the LOTRO Reporter Family: Bor, Rubywing and Omsi, our new class columnists.
Bor is the writer for the Gondor Awaits blog, and the host of the Gondor Awaits podcast, both of which can be found here. Bor also happens to be the most active alt-aholic I have ever met. Go over to his site and check out his list of character. WOW! He is an expert on a great deal of classes! Therefore, we’re please to have him write a few of the class columns for the site, starting with the Guardian, Hunter and Captain.
I first noticed Rubywing’s work in the LOTRO community when I read her crafting pages in the LOTRO Lorebook. She is amazing! You can find her personal blog here. She’ll be starting the Minstrel column, and I look forward to reading her insights.
Omsi was recommended to become the Rune Keeper columnist by Candace of the Green Dragon Inn. He comes to the site with great experience writing guides on the forums and on his kinship forums. I’m excited to see what he recommends as I level my own Rune Keeper.
Welcome to the family, Bor, Rubywing, and Omsi!
