In this episode, Chris and I update our levelling contest, discuss the erasure of Tuesdays and much more.  We didn’t hear from our intrepid reporter, but we did hear from the Through the Palantir folks.  Enjoy!
What we did this week

Bill
More story questing – finished 2.6 on 2.7 now
No skirmishing!  Weird
Foundation of stone – despicable zone
Ding 61 – ⅔ of the way to 62

Chris
Ding 61 – about ⅓ of the way to 62
Finished 2.5.5
Those skirmishes, although fun, are very reminiscent of Siege of Gondamon
I MIGHT have mistakenly put 21st hall on small fellowship, explaining why it was so difficult to finish

No more Turbine Tuesdays

Through the Palantir – PvMP Tip of the Week

Comments from last week
From Xanthi
“With the old LI system, it was always best to level a LI to 2, 11, 21, 31, 41, 51 and 61 before deconstructing as you got the best possible rewards that way. That is, from level 11 to 20 you would get the same reward, and the increase would only come at 21. So is it still best under the new LI system to level to 31 before deconstructing to pull your legacy off and get your relics and ixp rune?

As to life time, I was saving up and waiting for the next lifetime membership sale (they usually had them when they’d have a new major expansion). I had been wanting to do so, but the previous sale happened 2-3 months after I had prepaid for a year, so the cost was essentially the same as full price so I just couldn’t see it, so better to pay for another 3 months then plunk down $200 at the next sale. And then FTP happened and they nuked the lifetime option. As lifetime memberships are no longer available, and those who were lucky enough to have that advantage will not have to pay $10-15 per month for the rest of the life of the product and still get the 500 points per month, while I will probably have to shell out $360-600 over the next 3-5 years with no additional advantage, I really don’t feel so bad for them and think they shouldn’t get anything special beyond what they already have. It’s the month-to-month people who should get something extra perhaps, especially those like me that have been paying for several years already. Or just bring back the lifetime, I’d probably still pay $300 at this point for it. But lifetimers whining about not getting special extras? Good grief! You were lucky with timing and made an excellent investment.”

Thanks to Dunebug for the kind words in game!  (Bill)
