Win a Signed copy of LOTRO!

Several months ago, after Turbine had announced that LOTRO would be going Free to Play, I went into my local Wal-Mart and found that there where a few boxes of LOTRO on the shelves. This got me to thinking: What would happen if someone bought these copies after the game went F2P?

I sent a email to Patience, and found out that the codes from the boxes would still be valid, so I decided to bring these boxes to PAX and ask the developers to sign them so that I could give them away as contest, which leads us to this post!

Wondering what you get if you win?

1) A signed copy of LOTRO: Shadows of Angmar and Mines of Moria

2) VIP access for one month, and premium access permanently after the month is over if you decide not to subscribe.

3) All MoM content: Access to the Mines of Moria region and content, premium classes (Rune-Keeper and Warden), legendary items feature, Tier 6 crafting feature, 2 extra character slots and a level cap of 60

4) The perks of having once been a VIP if you choose to let your account go premium:

This contest is open to anyone in North America . I would love to offer it world-wide, but the shipping limits me to North America, and the code inside the box would only be valid on Turbine servers. Comments that do not state why you think you should win will not be elligeble.

I’m a lover of mmorpgs, and I have heard great things about LOTRO. I seen and played under a friend’s account sometime and I liked it. I think I should win, as it would be awesome to play a game I’m already in love with and have official cds, and a guide book that comes with the boxes! ^^

I deserve to win a free LotRO because:
1. I have never won anything in my life…literally
2. I am a good person – i work, i study, i pay my tuitions, so I can use some play time.
3. I simply cannot afford to buy lotro at the moment, but if I get it for free, I will be the happiest person in the world.

Now I am not gonna say “I will give it to my best friend because he loves lotro” or “My girlfriend’s brother is the biggest fan of LotRO so I will give it to him.” because it is simply not true. I will keep it for myself and I will play it, enjoying every bit of it.

I would love a signed copy of LotRO – I have played the game on and off since open beta, and was in the f2p beta. I met a great group of people and we now have a kin on one of the new servers. So much enjoyment had, and so much more to come!

My wife, three children and I play LOTRO a lot since it went F2P. We’re huge LOTR geeks: My eldest son is named Thálion (after Húrin) and my daughter’s name is a mix of Sindar and Quenya: Celorbrin (”shines like gold and silver”).

Getting a signed copy of LOTRO means one of us would get a beloved VIP/premium account and be the envy of all our siblings/parents/children. :D

I’d love to win a signed copy because my husband and I first “met” in game during beta at a kin party the night before the game launched in 2007. LOTRO is special to us and we would love to have a signed copy of the game to keep and display with our copy of the book set and our wedding scrapbook. I would love to have a copy of the mines of Moria box… I don’t own the expansion and the number of Turbine points to buy it is quite a bit. A signed box is a great added bonus that would look nice on my game shelf while i rock some LOTRO with my buds. I have to say im new to LOTRO but i’ve been a long time fan of JRR Tolkien and his works. The amount of time they must have spent to stick to the lore so well is astounding!
