The faction part intrigues me also, I wonder how that will pan out. I think festivals and the way Turbine delivers them are such a cool aspect of their game. I always look forward to what type of hy jinx turbine will have waiting for me when I log in. Pus I am in the process of trying to get a festival horse for each one of my nine characters, so the quest for tokens through interesting means always appeals to me.
Also, I wanted to thank you both for your wonderful pod casts and websites. You have inspired me to begin my own modest LOTRO blog, I am a newbie to blogging, however I am having a whole lot of fun writing about my experiences in game.
Thanks , keep up the most awesome work

Good Afternoon,
I heard your podcast and you mentioned Middler and some advice on Martial Training Legendary for an RK. I am also in Knights of Elendil on Firefoot. I thought I would chime in on why I think you should slot this trait.
First of all, I totally agree the melee part of it is worthless. I don’t even consider it. However, +10% on Power and Morale is the reason I believe it is very beneficial. Consider the following:
1) +10 Valour is 286 morale and +10 Wisdom is +30 Will which is 90 power I think. – This alone makes it better than two maxed virtues.
2) Assume (for ease of math) it is bonus of 300 morale – this is the equivalent of 5% melee mitigation of 6000 damage. In a typical trash mob fight you will take far less damage so it is closer to a functional 10% melee mitigation.
3) Steady Hands has (as you mentioned a long cool down), You can achieve the same affect as steady hands by using a combination of:
of your armor of X and other neutral attunement skills on a much quicker cool down. So Steady Hands is really a limited use convenience. I will grant in some cases the immediacy of steady hands is better than the neutral skill spam to re-attune, but I don’t believe the improvement makes it worth slotting over martial training.
To me this one is similar to the LM sword and staff. Just too much overall benefit not to slot.
I am also attaching for you a copy of a Virtue tracking sheet I created. It is not updated with Mirkwood virtues, because frankly, I have a real life and job have not taken the time. But it is easily added as this is in excel (a PDF is also attached) Hope this helps.
Best of luck to you guys.
Have a great day
